about me
I'm in my thirties, and for the last fifteen-ish years I've been building a career in IT using my MSc in Information Technology and some good ol' common sense. I've made it to C-level in product management, after which I've decided to spice things up a little bit and took on a continuous, mostly self-study track dedicated to data science and machine learning.
Apart from that:
→ I read a lot;
→ I try to travel as much as possible;
→ I've recently found joy in shooting film;
→ I was in martial arts for about 10 years and stopped it only after a severe neck trauma;
→ I study Japanese and aim to relocate (I also aim to buy a totally unwanted ghost house or a ryokan1 in the middle of nowhere and restore it to its former glory).
My partner says I'm urban shaman core, which apparently means: "Here's my aesthetic Ikea furniture; here's my cherished tech; the only thing that we need now is a beautiful sheep skull. places a skull Now, that's more like it. Okay, let's sit down and talk about what's been bothering you about your job". As always, they give a very precise description of a situation we're having here.
So, hi, I guess?
about this website
This website reflects some of the concepts that I like:
- indie web; making the web weird again (1, 2), but also keeping it simple, lightweight and accessible
- permacomputing and Readme Driven Development
- the Japanese concept of 本音 hon'ne
- and a not-so-subtle homage to one of my favorite video games ever
